Assuring Contra Costans of a safe, plentiful, and affordable food supply is the goal of the Agriculture Program. Information is extended to local producers by our Farm Advisor through newsletters, publications, personal consultations, meetings and field days. She conducts research and educational programs on issues of local concern. Recent projects have included the adoption of integrated pest management strategies, organic production practices, improved varieties, new crops and new agricultural enterprises.
