Nutrition, Family, and Consumer Sciences

The UC Cooperative Extension Nutrition, Family, and Consumer Sciences program provides adults and youth with research-based information on food, nutrition, food safety, and family resource management. The overall goal of the program is to encourage residents to adopt healthy lifestyle habits to enhance their well-being. The nutrition advisor researches local problems such as food insecurity and childhood obesity with partners on the University of California campuses and with local community agencies.
